Student membership

Student membership is free and provides access to a wealth of benefits to help you throughout your studies. It is available to dental students in the UK who are on a GDC recognised dental degree or training programme.

First year dental students who join the DDU will receive an Oxford Concise Medical Dictionary.

Educational support

You will have access to excellent resources including the DDU journal, a library of guidance and advice, and practical help for students who plan to take the DF1 interview.

Dento-legal advice

Whether you have a fitness to practise issue, an ethical dilemma, or need help with a dento-legal issue that has arisen from seeing patients during your course, you can turn to our dento-legal team for independent confidential advice. Our advisers are experienced dentists. They are available between 8am-6pm Monday to Friday and provide an on-call service for dento-legal emergencies or urgent queries 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.
