Angela Love
Dento-legal adviser

Angela began her career in the '80s in general dental practice before joining the community dental service in 2000, treating patients with special needs and anxious children referred by GDPs. She was also on the investigating committee of the GDC for two years, giving her a special insight into the procedures and pressures of many dento-legal issues. She now combines her community work with her role as a dento-legal adviser with the DDU.

Emily Howden
Dento-legal adviser

Emily graduated from Newcastle in 1999 and went on to work in both the NHS and private sectors in a wide number of different settings and practices. As well as her general dental practice work she has also worked as dental foundation trainer, helping to foster the next generation of dental professionals.

Lesley Taylor
Dento-legal adviser

BDS LDSRCS PDDS PGCME LLM MFGDP FHEA Lesley qualified from Cardiff in 1999 and has worked mostly within NHS general dental practice. Her career has included roles in the CDS and hospital, including special care dentistry and work under GA. She has also supervised undergraduate dental students, hygienist and therapists. Before joining the DDU, Lesley led the Dental Teaching Unit in Port Talbot. She completed her Masters in Law in 2014 and remains a postgraduate tutor with the Welsh Deanery.

Louise Nash
Dento-legal adviser

Louise has combined a number of different interests over the course of her career. Graduating in 1976, her main pursuits have been general practice and dental education, as well as an interest in orthodontics. She has held posts as a foundation trainer and scheme adviser, as well as clinical lead and instigator of the outreach teaching department at Bristol University. More recently, she was appointed associate postgraduate dean of the south west, a post she held until late 2016.
