Free CPD modules from the BSP and the DDU

Model of teeth and gums

New and updated for 2019

The course has been updated to include the new classifications of periodontal disease as outlined in the world classification workshop 2017.

Periodontitis is widespread. The DDU continues to receive claims alleging failure to diagnose or treat the condition properly. The largest cost to date is £220,000 for failing to diagnose and treat periodontal disease.

Working together to reduce claims

Combining our expertise on the clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of periodontitis, and the dento-legal aspects that surround it, the British Society of Periodontology (BSP) and the DDU have produced a series of short CPD modules to help you improve patient care and reduce the risk of a claim.

The modules are designed to quiz you, assess your knowledge and identify any gaps.

On completion of all the modules, you will be able to print out a certificate for verifiable CPD.
