Will it harm my case with the GDC if I acknowledge a mistake?

No. The GDC actually expects dental professionals to reflect on what has happened, have the insight to identify deficiencies in their practice and take action to address them.

This is known as remediation. If you're involved in a GDC investigation, this will be taken into account at fitness to practise hearings when deciding which or if sanctions are appropriate.

For more information about remediation, speak to your DDU adviser.
