In 2020 there were unprecedented challenges from COVID-19 that impacted the circumstances in which medical and dental professionals worked.

The DDU is your company and despite these challenges we worked tirelessly to maintain our excellent record in guiding, supporting and defending our members. In 2020 we handled over 25,000 calls to our 24 hour advice line and over 99% of members calling during working hours were speaking to a specialist adviser within 20 seconds.

Our award winning membership team also continued to provide valuable assistance to members who found themselves under immense pressure by answering more than 116,000 calls with over 83% answered within 20 seconds.
